Description:

This qualification provides the skills required for competence in remedial massage practice and practitioners at this level may be self employed as independent practitioners or may work within a larger health service. It covers the provision of remedial massage treatment to clients with specific needs such as injury management, rehabilitation, palliative care, aged care, women and children. Practitioners at this level may supervise other massage therapists.

Please note that this qualification is taught and assessed holistically. This means that there is no exit point until the completion of the course and Statement of Attainment can not be issued until all assessments have been submitted and deemed competent.

Entry Requirements

International students and Self-Funded Domestic Students:
– Achieving a minimum level of academic qualification equivalent to an Australian Year 11 high school certificate; OR
– Passing HETC’s internal academic entry test
– IELTS (or accepted equivalent) score of 5.0, with no component lower than 4.5 obtained within the past two years; OR
– Passing HETCís English entry test;
OR
– Completed a minimum of an Australia Diploma level qualification
